From a terroir located at the same altitude as Ronceret, on a gently sloping parcel that becomes flatter, this Volnay Premier Cru is rooted in deep, iron-rich soils, dark red in color and scattered with large rounded stones. The blend combines 30-year-old vines on the Volnay side with 70–80-year-old vines on the Meursault side, bringing both balance and complexity. The wine captivates with density and intensity, marked by animal notes, a delicate attack, and a powerful, lingering finish. With a structure reminiscent of Côte de Nuits, it embodies a Volnay that is both refined and profoundly characterful.
