Profil du vin

The opinion of sommelier David Biraud

The opinion of sommelier David Biraud
We are in the Côte de Beaune, this commune of Pommard presents this single vineyard with its brilliant ruby color, it is clear and delicate, with bright and striking ruby reflections. The aromatic palette is clean and refined. The first signs of the aromatic evolution of Pinot are clearly present: brandied fruits, kirsch, Morello cherry, tart red berry, redcurrant—a delight. A smoky, spicy character and a hint of leather complete the diversity of aromas. The first sensation on the palate is frankness and livacity. A well-placed tartness, a beautifully crafted fresh backbone, it is lively and airy, elevating the aromas. A very beautiful, long, and tart finish. A beautiful Pinot vinification. At the top of the Pommard hill, on a stony and steep south-facing soil, this 50-year-old vine yields a fresh and mineral wine. The ideal sunshine guarantees beautiful ripeness. A perfect Pommard for lovers of fine Pinot.
