Made from Grenache and Cinsault grown on clay-limestone soils using organic farming, this rosé stands out for its elegance and precision. Vinified by whole-bunch pressing, fermented in stainless steel tanks then concrete egg vessels, and aged 18 months on lees, it reveals a pale pink colour with silver highlights, a floral and citrus-driven nose, and a silky, delicate and persistent palate.
Perfect with salmon tartare, poultry with vegetables, fresh cheese or strawberry tart.

Sommelier David Biraud's review

Sommelier David Biraud's review
The 1618 Rosé Organic 2023 cuvée blends two grape varieties to combine structure and freshness. Its name refers to the golden ratio, a symbol of harmony. Harvested at dawn, the grapes are whole-bunch pressed. Fermentation begins in stainless steel tanks and then continues in concrete egg-shaped vats, bringing complexity and minerality. The wine rests on its lees for a year and a half, revealing finesse and balance. Its color is pale, very clear, a rose petal pink, reminiscent of a hidden white wine. Very beautiful viscosity. Delicate aromas, floral, light rose water, red fruit juice, redcurrant, sugared raspberry, everything is delicate. The palate is round, very smooth, enveloping; the winemaking process truly shines, providing such a pleasant mouthfeel. The acidity beautifully supports the Grenache's substance. Saline finish, and very good length. A rosé wine with the dimension of a white wine, boasting refreshing and fruity aromas.
